A complete database on the Cattle Smuggling in the districts of Murshidabad and North 24 Parganas was prepared by CID, West Bengal. A meeting with the District SPs was also called by DGP, West Bengal wherein all the details were shared with both the Districts. A coordinated raid was conducted and kingpin of cattle smuggling of the Murshidabad and North 24 Parganas were arrested and the cattle smuggling could be brought down to a large extent. Other districts like Malda, Birbhum, Burdwan, Nadia and South 24 Parganas was also sensitized and the details of the cattle smuggler existing in their districts were discussed with them to control the cattle smuggling in the State.
