Kalna PS. Case No 786/2022 Dated 31.08.2022, U/S 379/411/413/414/120B/34 IPC. On 30.08.2022 during night mobile duty, the officer of Kalna PS along with force held raid at 19 No. Singerkone beside Kalna Pandua Road under kalna PS and arrested a gang of accused persons namely- (1) Uttam Sarkar (38) s/o Upen Sarkar of Kanainagar Dakshinpara, PS- Nabadwip, DistNadia, (2) Joydul Islam (34) s/o Abdus Sattar of Nandanpur, PS Ranitala, Dist. Murshidabad & (3) Milan Mondal (20) s/o Bharat Mondal of Chargwalpara, PS Nadanghat PO. Singerkone beside 19 No. Kalna-Pandua Road, PS Kalna and seized one vehicle bearing registration no WB-43/4533 (Mahindra Bolero Pick-Up Van) which was loaded with following articles: i) Copper BSNL Cables in different pieces weight approx 100 Kgs, ii) One Honda Aviator Scooty bearing Reg No WB 24AA 3283, iii) One Super Splendor Motor Cycle without number plate, iv) One Hero HF Deluxe Motor Cycle without number plate. The accused persons confessed that they along with their associates were illegally excavating the soil & extracting the underground Copper BSNL cables with the intent of theft and loaded the stolen materials in the aforesaid Mahindra Bolero Pick-Up Van bearing after cutting the said cables into different pieces for transportation to other places to sell the same in black market.
